Latest River Restrictions: AMBER - WINTER SHOALS RESTRICTING PASSAGE FOR POWER CRAFT
All Mariners must note that there are currently navigation restrictions at the following locations:
1. Sluice Weir Lock Downstream - PASSABLE WITH CARE. Large Shoal opposite lower landing stage. Mariners are advised to carefully pass between the buoy and the landing stage - keeping tight to the landing stage. (will be cleared w/c 7th April).
2. Town Lock Downstream. PASSABLE WITH CARE. Large shoal adjacent to the lower canoe landing stage. Carefully make passage to the portside (left hand side) of the buoy then to the higher section of the landing stage. (to be cleared when the new dredger is delivered).
3. Some lock gates (East Farleigh, Teston & Tonbridge) are partially blocked with silt but open sufficiently to enable passage.
